Phases of wound healing

Definition: Model of wound healing progressing through three phases: inflammation (initial response, lasting several days and consisting of brief vasoconstriction and subsequent vasodilation); proliferation (lasting 4–20 days and including angiogenesis, granulation and epithelialisation); and maturation (lasting from months to several years and including remodelling).
